Villa Svega is actually a renovated traditional oil mill building, located on the north coast of Crete, which is also called the pearl of the Mediterranean, situated in the quiet village of Gallou. Today Gallou is sort of a suburb of Rethymnon and is located above the large area of the University of Crete. The long sandy beaches of Rethymnon are near. The house is built on flat ground, surrounded by large old plane trees. The house has not much of a sea view except from the terrace. We offer it nevertheless because of its unique character as traditional mansion.

Description of the house
The villa is keeps the traditional Cretan style of the 18th century. The arcades and the large quiet flower garden with the swimming pool create a very special and relaxed atmosphere.
